The festival opens with Pedro Almodóvar’s new film Bitter Christmas (2026). The lineup features a selection of Irish and international features, including Ian de la Rosa’s Teddy Award winner debut feature Iván & Hadoum (2026), New Irish Shorts, documentaries, and Café au GAZE, a festival forum for talks and panels exploring queer cinema.

A story of queer desire, blackmail, and the moral codes that govern coyotes, boars, and humans alike, this poignant short examines weaponized vulnerability and the desperate choices it leaves.

Through candid conversations with the players, coach, and rising talents, the film explores the realities of increasing transphobia alongside the safety and belonging the club provides. “When you got football in your feet, you forget about everything else in the world.” This inspiring documentary is a testament to the resilience of the trans community and the power of belonging.

Adrian Chiarella’s feature debut scrutinizes a verse in the Bible that has served as the origo of condemning homosexuality as an abominable sin for hundreds of years. Set in a tight-knit religious community of a grey, industrial town, this supernatural horror confronts the evils of conversion therapy.

This Iris Prize winning short explores what it means to be Arab, Muslim and queer in Libya.  It follows Britannia, a queer Libyan teen who lives with his chosen family in the tunnels beneath Tripoli and dreams of being queer in the UK. When he finally gets an asylum interview at the British Embassy, he needs to sneak back home to get his passport, but what he finds is more than just the document that he needs to leave. He also discovers something that makes him want to stay.

A heartfelt animation about a Filipino same-sex couple whose pregnant daughter wants to learn more about her dads’ journey becoming her parents. The interview takes a fateful turn, but it also becomes the catalyst of memories of a childhood full of precious memories and loving care. Evocative of home movies, the visuals were inspired by Filipino painter Fernando Amorsolo and  Ili-Ili from the title comes from a Filipino-Ilongo language lullaby called "Ili ili tulog anay" - go to sleep little one.
