Since the 1970s, lesbians from around the world have been drawn to the Greek island of Lesvos, birthplace of the ancient Greek poet Sappho. Chronicling 40-plus years of lesbian communion, this documentary reveals that what once seemed like paradise is actually simmering with tensions between the visitors and the local residents.
