ILI-ILI / LITTLE ONE (2023)
DIR. CLISTER SANTOS
A heartfelt animation about a Filipino same-sex couple whose pregnant daughter wants to learn more about her dads’ journey becoming her parents. The interview takes a fateful turn, but it also becomes the catalyst of memories of a childhood full of precious memories and loving care. JARIPEO (2026)
Mexico, USA, France
dir. Efraín Mojica, Rebecca Zweig
A vibrantly evocative documentary about “jaripeos” or rural rodeos — a world of machos, performative masculinity, and queer desire in Michoacán, Mexico. 4K and Super8 footage blends a vividly sensual visual journey of desire, longing and memory in this candid portrait of hypermasculine fantasies and sobering realities. The myth of masculinity has rarely been this macho and queer at the same time.
